Prior to being named Superintendent of JCPS, Dr. Yearwood led Columbia Public Schools in Missouri and has over two decades of experience in Texas school districts. Dr. Yearwood has held leadership roles including principal, assistant superintendent, and chief operations officer. He holds a doctorate in educational leadership and statistics and has a strong track record in driving academic improvement and operational excellence.

A strong regional workforce pipeline begins in the classroom making partnerships between schools and employers more important than ever. Dr. Yearwood will share how local businesses can collaborate with JCPS to strengthen educational outcomes, build a stronger talent pipeline, and create opportunities for every student to succeed.
